Choosing the right export size for your PromptShot.
PromptShot renders four fixed sizes and three ways to get the image out of the editor. Here's what each one is actually for, and what happens when a prompt is too long to fit.

Every size uses the same layout logic — platform mark top-left, prompt title and body centered, brand mark bottom-right. Only the canvas dimensions and how much text fits change. Switching size in the editor updates the live preview instantly, so you can compare before exporting.
PNG, Copy Image, or Share
Download PNG saves the rendered image as a file, named from your prompt's generated title and platform. It's the option with no dependency on clipboard or share-sheet support, so it's the safest default if the others don't work in your browser.
Copy Image writes the PNG straight to your clipboard so you can paste it directly into a chat, doc, or email without a save-and-attach step. It relies on your browser supporting image writes to the clipboard — where it doesn't, PromptShot tells you and points you to Download PNG instead of failing silently.
Share opens your device's native share sheet with the PNG file attached (and the share link too, where the browser supports sharing both). It's the fastest path on mobile, where a share sheet is the normal way to hand a file to another app.
The branding toggle
By default, every export shows a small "AI PROMPTSHOT" mark in the bottom-right corner. Switching Branding to Off removes it from the canvas entirely — useful if you want a plain image for a deck or document with no attribution mark. Nothing else about the layout changes.
How long prompts get shortened to fit
The canvas has a fixed size, so PromptShot first shrinks the body text size to try to fit your whole prompt. If the prompt still doesn't fit at the smallest readable size, the visible text is cut off with an ellipsis at the point it runs out of room — the image always shows as much of the prompt as will fit cleanly, never an overflowing or clipped line.
Before you export, PromptShot checks whether your current prompt, template, and size combination would need shortening, and shows a note above the export buttons if so. Shortening only affects the image — the full prompt is never lost, since Copy Prompt and Copy Share Link always carry the complete text.
If you regularly hit this with the same prompt, switching to a template with a taller or wider canvas (Wide or Large Square) or a smaller theme's body text often fits more before truncating.
