Editorial policy

Last updated October 17, 2026 · By the AI PromptShot team · Editorial policy

The rules we follow for everything published on aipromptshot.com: who is responsible for it, how it is paid for, how we keep it accurate, and what happens when we get something wrong.

Who publishes this site

AI PromptShot is an independent website maintained by the AI PromptShot team. The team writes and edits the guides, prompt examples, template pages and platform pages, and is responsible for what they say. You can reach us at contact@aipromptshot.com; the about page explains what the site is and why it exists.

Independence and funding

Every feature of AI PromptShot is free, and there is no paid plan. The site is paid for by display advertising served by Google AdSense, and by nothing else: no affiliate links, no sponsored posts, no paid placements. Google chooses which ads appear; we do not pick advertisers, and no advertiser has any say in what we write.

Ads are not shown on private screens such as My Stuff, on error pages, or on pages that visitors publish themselves. We do not accept payment or free products in exchange for a mention, a link or a favourable description.

AI PromptShot is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Cursor, Midjourney or any other AI company named on the site. Their product names are used only to say which kind of prompt a page is about, and remain their owners’ trademarks.

Accuracy

Statements about the tool are checked against the tool: what the export draws, which sizes exist, what is stored and when. Images described as exports are unedited exports. Prompt examples are written for this site and explained line by line, and we do not present AI model answers as proof that a prompt works. The full process is on how we write and test.

Pages in other languages are translations of the English pages and can lag behind them. Where they differ, the English page is the reference version.

What “Last updated” means

Guides, prompt examples and policy pages show a “Last updated” date. It moves when what the page says changes: a fact, an instruction, an example, or a correction. It does not move for design changes, navigation, new links to other pages, or fixed typos, so a recent date always means the substance changed. The date is the same one given to search engines in the page’s structured data.

Corrections

If something on the site is wrong or out of date, email contact@aipromptshot.com with the page address and what you think is wrong. We reply within three business days. If we agree, we fix the page, move its date, and list the correction below when it changed something we had stated as fact. If we disagree, we explain why.

We do not silently rewrite test results. When a published measurement stops describing the tool, the original stays visible with a dated note explaining what changed.

Corrections log

  • October 17, 2026 · Exporting prompt screenshots

The guide said the title and prompt are centered on the card. The export draws them from the top left; the sentence now says so.

  • October 9, 2026 · Template & export size matrix

Our own test showed the live preview cutting off long prompts that the exported PNG did not. The preview was rebuilt to use the export renderer, and the guide now marks its preview table as a record of the old behaviour.

  • October 9, 2026 · Terminal template and related pages

Several English pages described the Terminal template as monospace. Only Developer sets the prompt in monospace; Terminal uses a sans-serif body. The wording was corrected everywhere it appeared.

  • October 9, 2026 · Choosing a template

The comparison cards were presented as real renders. They are simplified mock-ups, and the page now says so and points to each template’s real export.
