What AI PromptShot is

AI PromptShot is a free web tool for turning AI prompts — the text you write for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other AI tool — into polished screenshot-style images. You paste or type your prompt, pick a template and theme, and PromptShot renders it into a shareable image, entirely in your browser.

The problem it solves

Sharing a prompt as plain text or as a raw screenshot of your chat window is messy — inconsistent fonts, cluttered UI chrome, and no visual identity of your own. PromptShot gives prompts a consistent, readable, on-brand look, so they're easy to post, teach from, or reference without dragging along an entire chat interface.

AI PromptShot is an independent tool and is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Cursor, Midjourney, or any other AI platform referenced on this site. Platform names are used only to describe which style a template is designed to resemble.

Templates and customization

PromptShot offers a range of templates and themes so your exported image matches the platform or aesthetic you want. You can adjust size and styling before exporting, so the final image fits wherever you plan to post it.

PNG export

When you're ready, PromptShot renders your prompt into a downloadable PNG image, generated entirely on your device — no upload required to produce the file.

Sharing

Share links encode your prompt, template, and settings directly into the URL, so opening the link recreates the same PromptShot without any server-side lookup. Because the prompt lives in the link itself, we recommend avoiding confidential or sensitive information in anything you plan to share this way — see our Privacy Policy for more.

Client-side, privacy-oriented architecture

PromptShot has no backend server processing your prompts, no account system, and no database storing your content. Everything — editing, rendering, and PNG export — happens in your browser. This keeps the tool fast and keeps your prompt text under your control while you're using it.
