These terms cover how you may use AI PromptShot. They're written in plain language, for a small independent web tool rather than a large company.
Acceptance of Terms
By using AI PromptShot ("PromptShot", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
Description of the Service
PromptShot is a free web tool that turns text prompts into styled, shareable screenshot images. It offers template and theme customization, PNG export, and share links. It is provided as-is, at no cost, without accounts or subscriptions.
Client-Side Processing
PromptShot runs entirely in your browser. Prompt text you enter is rendered and turned into an image locally on your device; it is not sent to a PromptShot server for processing, storage, or analysis. See our Privacy Policy for details.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you type into PromptShot and for anything you export or share using it. Don't use PromptShot to create or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.
User-Generated Content
Any prompt text, images, or share links you create using PromptShot are your own content. We do not claim ownership over them, and — because we don't store them — we have no ability to access, moderate, or remove content you've generated after it leaves the page you created it on.
Share Links
Share links generated by PromptShot encode your prompt directly in the URL. Anyone with a share link can view the prompt it contains. You are responsible for deciding what to put in a prompt before generating a share link, and for who you share that link with. See our Privacy Policy for more on how share links work.
Intellectual Property
The PromptShot name, design, templates, and site code are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the templates to create and export your own images for personal or commercial use. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the PromptShot site or its underlying code as your own product.
Third-Party Trademarks and Services
Names such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Codex, and Midjourney belong to their respective owners. PromptShot references these names for descriptive purposes only, so that users can label prompts by the AI platform they were written for. AI PromptShot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies unless explicitly stated.
Availability and Changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features of PromptShot at any time, and we may update these Terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
PromptShot is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that the service will always be error-free or available.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of PromptShot, including loss of data, content you failed to save locally, or content exposed through a share link you distributed.
Prohibited Use
You may not use PromptShot to generate or distribute unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the site, or misrepresent PromptShot-generated images as being issued by or affiliated with a third-party AI platform.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time as PromptShot's features change. The date-independent version published on this page is the version in effect.
