Acceptance of Terms

By using AI PromptShot ("PromptShot", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

Description of the Service

PromptShot is a free web tool that turns text prompts into styled, shareable screenshot images. It offers template and theme customization, PNG export, share links, the option to save a PromptShot privately and publish it to a public page, the option to organize saved PromptShots into Collections that can also be published, and the option to create a Creator profile page that gathers your published PromptShots and Collections. It is provided as-is, at no cost, without accounts, usernames, logins, or subscriptions.

Client-Side Processing

PromptShot renders your prompt into an image in your browser. Editing, previewing, PNG export, Copy Image, and share links all happen on your device — none of them send your prompt to a PromptShot server, and no prompt is ever sent to an AI model.

Saving, publishing, creating a Collection, and creating a Creator profile are the exceptions, and all are explicit: Save PromptShot stores that PromptShot privately on our servers, Publish puts a saved PromptShot on a public page, creating a Collection stores its title, description, and the PromptShots you add to it, and creating a Creator profile stores its display name, optional bio, optional website, and the objects you link to it — each privately, until you separately choose to publish it. Linking a PromptShot or Collection to a profile is an explicit action that requires you to be able to manage both sides. None of this happens on its own. See our Privacy Policy for details.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you type into PromptShot and for anything you export or share using it. Don't use PromptShot to create or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.

User-Generated Content

Any prompt text, images, share links, Collections, Creator profiles, or published pages you create using PromptShot are your own content. We do not claim ownership over them, and there is no verification, badge, or identity check behind a Creator profile — a display name asserts nothing we have confirmed.

For anything you never saved, we hold no copy and therefore cannot access, moderate, or remove it. For a PromptShot, Collection, or Creator profile you chose to save or publish, we do hold a copy: you grant us the limited permission needed to store it and, if you publish it, to serve it on its public page and to feature it — at our discretion, and only while it stays published — on the public Explore page. You can unpublish or permanently delete a PromptShot, Collection, or profile yourself from the browser you used to create it — see our Privacy Policy for how that works. Deleting a Collection removes only the Collection, never the PromptShots that were in it; deleting a Creator profile removes only the profile, never the PromptShots or Collections that were linked to it. We may also remove a published PromptShot, Collection, or profile that breaks these Terms, and if you no longer have access to that browser you can ask us to remove one by emailing contact@aipromptshot.com.

Publishing is public. Do not publish anything confidential, personal, proprietary, or that you do not have the right to share.

Share Links

Share links generated by PromptShot encode your prompt directly in the URL. Anyone with a share link can view the prompt it contains. You are responsible for deciding what to put in a prompt before generating a share link, and for who you share that link with. See our Privacy Policy for more on how share links work.

Intellectual Property

The PromptShot name, design, templates, and site code are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the templates to create and export your own images for personal or commercial use. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the PromptShot site or its underlying code as your own product.

Third-Party Trademarks and Services

Names such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Codex, and Midjourney belong to their respective owners. PromptShot references these names for descriptive purposes only, so that users can label prompts by the AI platform they were written for. AI PromptShot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies unless explicitly stated.

Availability and Changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features of PromptShot at any time, and we may update these Terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

PromptShot is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that the service will always be error-free or available.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of PromptShot, including loss of data, content you failed to save locally, or content exposed through a share link you distributed.

Prohibited Use

You may not use PromptShot to generate or distribute unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the site, or misrepresent PromptShot-generated images as being issued by or affiliated with a third-party AI platform.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time as PromptShot's features change. The date-independent version published on this page is the version in effect.
